Dreams

I am one person you do not really believe in the significance of a dream. Well, the major ones like seeing a deceased loved one dressed in all-white, peaceful looking without saying anything, that I believe lah. But things like if you dream of someone dying, its actually the reverse in real life. Like if you dream of loosing your teeth, means that one of your loved ones is going to die. That.. I have some reservations. Even more so for events that are part of your daily life, like dreaming of your work / family life etc in strange circumstances. I just take it as something to humour me.

Anyway, I usually don't share my dreams, because I hate to listen to people's stories about theirs. Some people even tell me every detail of the dream which I would go like ok .. ok.. (but in my head going... ok..moving along.. moving along). But yesterday's dream was weird. I dreamt of Fakrul (my current officemate who was also my officemate from the old department)and another officemate from my previous department racing ala Fast and Furious. Four people where in each car including the driver. I was also in one of the cars. My girlfriends from the previous department were also in both cars. AND my boss from the present department was also in the other car! And so when I related the story to Fakrul the next morning, he went like "huh?? You dreamt of me??" Erkk.... he made it sound "weird".

So now, I've decided... no more telling dream stories to anyone!

New Toy

We recently bought this toy (refer to pix below) for Idlan. We had been eyeing on the toy for quite sometime already, surveying Toys'R'us in OU as well as City Square, and the toy section of a few departmental stores. At OU, we would always go to Toys'R'us with Idlan for free exploratory of the toys on display, everytime after Tumble Tots class. Well I guess its not exactly 'free' now that we have been "influenced" to purchase the toy for him! Of course the toy was expensive! What else can explain our surveying notion!

One night last week, we went to buy the toy. By the time we got home, he was already sleeping. So we excitedly assembled the toy to surprise him the next morning. In our minds, we pictured him uttering "Wow! Wow! Wow!" countless times. But to our dismay, when he saw the toy the following morning, he looked at it with minimum enthusiasm!! Imagine our disappointment :(

But luckily, his lack of enthusiasm was short-lived. This was of course after much persuasion and the inclusion of the most important fun and 'alive' element - batteries!! After a demo/course by Khairul and several play-together sessions, he was able to play by himself. The good news is that Khairul and I can now enjoy short afternoon naps while he plays happily with the Ramps around Garage thingy : ) Cheers!
Not another one!!

Guess what? Another saman for NBB9119!! Erkkkk!!!! There goes another RM 150, down the drain! This time it was during the Hari Raya Haji weekend, on Sunday, when we were heading back to KL from Seremban. Boringggnyeeerr!!

Friends

Met up with my school friends on Hari Wilayah day. There were 6 of us, Zura, Nunu, Nadiah, Zaliza, Wan Haida and I. All girls day out at Secret Recipe, Tmn Tun. I brought an album of old pictures of the past (which Zal, at first sight when she picked me, suspected it as a direct selling / insurance file! Oh Puhleeez!!). It has just occurred to me that it has indeed been 10 years since we left school! One decade!! Wowwww... Imagine that.. How time flies! 10 years fast forward since form 5, we are now in our mid 20s. Some single, some married, some with children; all trying to make it in the 'rat race' of life. Professions include IT professionals (the most famous one of our time), accountants, lawyer, government servant, teacher and business planner. It was simply great to meet up to reminisce about the past and catch up with latest developments.

My mother has a group of best friends that she has known now for 50 years over. Although they originated from Johore Bharu, somehow they bought houses in the same area, and have been very close and constantly in contact all this time. Hope I can boast that kind of statistics in my golden years.

Moving forward, where/how do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
