Saturday Morning

Wahh... its Saturday! yeayy! We alternate between Seremb and and Tmn Tun on weekends, this weekend is Tmn Tun. Its so great just to be at home to relax. As I'm blogging my baby is having his nap in the buaian....all morning chores done....Winamp is playing my all time favourite song - Angel by Dru Hill...
ooohhhh such bliss!

Time is running out... and I'm still confused not knowing what I want in life. Well, actually I do know what I want but its just the question of am I willing to take the risk?? At 26, married with a kid, I'm faced with a crossroad similar to what I went thru at 17.. Each road has its own positive n negative points and its risks. Its a question I still have like 2 days to figure. Till then, the question still lingers on.... and on... and on........ urghhhh....

On a lighter side, life still goes on. Probably later in the afternoon, will be going to OU - my all time favourite outing place ..everything under one roof, to browse thru some books in MPH (probably get one kalau berkenan) and have teppanyaki (nyum...nyum).

Well, I still got my appetite even with all the thinking in my head!

Precious "WHITE GOLD"

Breastmilk is the best milk for your baby. Just check out any formula tin and you will see a disclaimer that says "Susu Ibu adalah yang terbaik untuk bayi". No other milk can produce the exact nutrition and goodness that mother's milk produces. Heeding to Idlan's choice, I had to sadly stop breastfeeding him at the age of 6 months. Although I have stopped breastfeeding myself, I'd like to share my lessons learnt (some I did and some I should have done) and some useful tips for the benefit of other mothers.

Lessons learnt:

1. Start pumping and storing expressed breast milk (EBM) during the first few weeks while baby's demands is still low.
2. Do not start formula feeding too early ie in the first 40 days of the baby's life
3. Feed baby as often as possible, whenever he wants.
4. When you start working, pump at least twice a day (once in the morning, and once in the evening)
5. Sleep-in with baby to ease night time nursing.

Tips (how to keep the supply coming) :

1. Drink plenty fluids (at least 8 glasses per day). Water is the best! other good drinks / beverages include Milo, Soya bean and horlicks.

2. Take Habatus Sauda'

3. Fenugreek tea (Air Halba). Rendam satu camcateh biji halba dgn air didih dlm satu mug. Rendam selama 20 minit sebelum meminumnya.

Although I had to settle with only 6 glorious months with Idlan, I shall try again with my next child using my lessons learnt and experience as a point of reference to improve continuos milk supply. To all those breastfeeding mothers... keep up to good work!!
8th March 2004 --- The day we've been waiting for has finally arrived. I have only this quotation (quoted by ??) to share with regards to the hot issue :
"Love your job, but do not love your company because you may never know when your company will stop loving you"
